I was asked to go back to work for my previous employer, (June 2008) whom I had worked for/quit due to being put on strict bed rest for complications w/ pregnancvy, I was more than happy to take job back, worked just barely two days, after I left work on the second day I recieved a call from employer stating he was no longer in need of my services. Can I collect unemployment?

I was a loyal worker, performed job as described, although co worker disliked me and I was fired. No unemployment since they say misconduct. Since I took a job 28-30 hrs week and hours cut to 4 hrs week due to economy. Can I file unemployment? Where do I go for help. Unemployment office booked.

I was called into HR office where I was told that It was not working and they fired me.
When I tried to get my unemployment HR said I was fird due to being told by my manager not to CC: his manger or HR/safty personal when I e-mailed him about issues
I was the Coord of the Recreation Department and found out about a safety issue.
After talking with my manager; feeling he was not going to tak care of the issue as he was the one that had said to do it; I CC: his manger and the Safety department. HR said I did not was insubordinate

I was fired from my job of 3 years because I had a high risk pregnency also was very sick through out my whole pregnancy so had to miss alot of work, had absolutely no choice but to call in sick . After I returned from my maternity leave to work I had to miss a week cuz I had a major issue that happened in my family and also my new baby got sick. Now I have a new baby with no insurence, and no income. I never had a problem with my job before my pregnancy. I was a hard worker and never missed a day the first 2 years of working there. I dont think its fair I was fired. They called it job abondenment since I called them one day and told them

YES, in some case’s you can get unemployment after being fired. When you apply for unemployment they will ask you how you lost your job (laided off, fired, quit). I was fired for not filling out a proper form (total BS). After filing for unemployment, they sent me a letter saying that my unemployment claim was under review, and they set up a over the phone interview with me, asked me how I got fired and what were the circustances behind it. They found in my favor, (my company couldn’t prove that I did or did not fill out this certain “form”, because of bad record keeping) and I was sent my unemployment check within the next few days

You can still get unemployment providing you were fired through no fault of your own, (example – You cant keep up with your workflow and they let you go because you dont meet there standards.) I dealt with this situation and though it takes time for the EDD they just need the facts. Remember its not the individual who is making it hard, its the system. Be honest with them and you will have done the best you can do.

I was fired because I gave a custamer too much of a discount. I had worked at this retail beach store for 14 years. I was at one time made manager and had a key to the store because they trusted me. I was good at what I did and every one liked me. I worked hard and never missed work unless I was to sick to get out of bed. When I was sick I would still go to work and maybe leave early because I had a key to let my coworker in so I had to be there. When I was told I was fired because of the high discount they told me if I aplyed for unemployment they would have to say I stold from them altho they made me sign over my last check to them. Is this fair? This was June of 2009, is it to late for me to aply? I am 68 years old with health problem so it’s hard for me to find a job. Thank You

I was working for a company from April of 2010 until of August of 2010 and wanted to know if i was entitled to get unemployment and benefits? I really need to get unemployment now until i find work because my wife is having our first child and she is due in December and she is a high risk pregency so she cant work right now until a few months after the baby is born. I was also wondering that if i am not with the company long enough if there is a way i can still get some kind of unemployment to pay for my rent and bills?

i had a cowrkr clock out for me.. but another cowrkr told on us.. we both got fired.. it was our 1st offense.. my fren and i.. have seen other cowrkrs in the department do the same, but have never told on them.. the person who told is one of them that did wat we did.. we never told on her.. but when we did it, she snitched and got us fired.. but mean while she made 2 complaints to the supervisor & manager.. one was about the clocking out which is true but the other one was a lie.. that we have did this multiple times.. we had our input on this but the manager & supervisor did not believe us.. they took her side.. and fired us… she is not a friend @ all… friends dont do shit like that to friends..

I got fierd for not putting my name on the board at work an i was there for 6yrs the worst part is puttin your name on the board b4 u leave the unit is not n our policy book.I went to the bathroom an they called my name ovr the intercom i come out an im fierd,woww! i see if my supervisor didnt jus see me coming from the bathroom but she did. I see if i smoked an was outside smoking for hrs or left the building but i didnt

I was fired for a misunderstanding at work. it wasnt even my fault but i was part of it. i thought something was already paid for after hours. i was told by the person that i was with, to help them take it out to the car. i was told if i hadnt done it i could’ve saved my job. well how could i have known it was wrong, if i didnt know it hadn’t been paid for. i knew we couldnt sell after hours, but i didnt know if we bought it before 2am that we still couldnt take it out of the store. i was fired for something that wasnt my fault.

This occured because recieved a DWI and lost my drivers license.
Being that A CDL drivers license is required for my job title my employer
