i got fired yesterday after i called in tuesday i tryed using one of my sick days an was told i can not!!!!!!!!!! then i go to work the following day while nothing more was said about incident as im leaving for the day i get a letter of being terminated. now i am single father who has to have 600$ a month for the roof over our heads I have been there over a year . note I know i had access to sick days as well as vacation days in my favor to use . does it really matter how they get used to my beneifit.

they will do anything to get rid of people so they can save money and get people to work for less.

If you can prove you had the sick time and you did not make a habbit of calling in..Also if you called in more then two hours before your shift.It would help if you could get some people to write a letter if some employees get away with it on a regular basies.Also if you have never been written for that you should win

i have a freind who was denied and lost evrything for no good reason and another friend thats been drawing it for 3 yrs now right here in kansas he even got another check and started a job 2 weeks ago so i don’t think thats very fair

I work part-time at a local school. My son has had a very rough year with being sick and most recently he has broken his ankle. I have a gut feeling thatI will be let go if I have to loose anymore time. I have no one to watch my son and is only 12. If they let me go can i get unemployment.

I have been working for. The same company for many years and they are lowering my pay . I will be doing the same job. My question is do I have to accept it, or can I refuse to accept it and leave my job and still collect unemployment with out any problem?

I am working for an employer that is hostile. He has lost atleast 2 employees a year due to his behavior. I’m so afraid I’m going to be let go when he is having one of his outrages. I am in sales and if someone doesn’t buy he blames me. He says I should sell to them no matter what. I say they can’t afford and he flips out and said I should sell to them. Last summer my mouth and face and hand went numb and I went to call off work and he told me no that he had to deliver shirts for a fund raiser. A doctor told me I need to get another job, but there’s none out there. If I am fire, can I draw unemployment. Buy the way he laughs and says nobody has ever drawn unemployment off him.

i am a full time nursing student. I work full time also. Last week i was told i had to work 16 hours on a day i took off because i needed t take a test. My supervisor told me i had to work or get fired. Now i have to work not an 8 hour shift but 3 16 hour shifts back to back and i have 4 exams comming up this week. Can any legal action be taken on this?

I WAS FIRED FROM MY JOB BACK IN AUGUST BECAUSE MY LISCENCE GOT SESPENDED. I WORKED FOR A RENT A CAR PLACE, I FILED FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BUT WAS DENIED. NOT SURE IF I DIDNT FILL OUT ALL THE PAPER WORK CORRECT. BUT IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO APPLY FOR UNEMPLOYEMENT 6 MONTHS LATER IF I CURRENTLY HAVENT GOTTEN A JOB. AND BELEIVE ME I HAVE APPLIED EVERYWHERE! THANKS

I quit my job last year and didnt apply for unemployment, I jst apply today and hope i can get answer next week. I quit my job due health reason and go to school full time, Can I still get unemployment?

I have been a my job for 21/2 years and worked up to be a crew leader and was an outstanding employee. I was sick and did not call in. I went in the next day and was fired. My boss didn’t even offer to give me a probationary period like we did with others there. I asked if my boss would consider having me back and putting me on a probationary period and he said no. It is the norm for my boss to first discuss with the employee and advise them that this would be their last cahnce and offer a probationary period. can I get fired for this. i did not have a doctors excuse I couldn’t afford to go to docors.

If you leave your job you will not be able to get unemployment. I was fired after 10 years for no reason I did get unemployment.

I read many of ya all’s comments… Like me I worked some where for close to five yrs… I was sick as all hell this past January… I called tried to call in like four times. No answer.. The fifth time I hid my # an called.. Wouldnt u believe, I had an answer as the second ring.. Like i was being set up to get rid of… After all this time I’m being told that I could not recieve no benifits.. I an many ppl cant go like this.. Where’s OUR RIGHTS ???? The way the world is rite now , hardly work to find out there.. How the hell is anyone to live anymore….

I been working at my job for 3 years. One day i came in on a regular day,everything was good a month before this i borrowed money from a resident they let it go tol me that not to borrow money from resident okay. Last week i worked my 8 hour shoft when i leave to clock out i have a note on my time card telling me that iam discharged. The boss was there all 8 hours but did tell me. Could i still get unemployment?

I have been working for a facility for almost 5 years. I am high on the senority chain and believe I gave excellant care. Under and assistant manager who has had it in for me for the past several months, having me wrote up whether it be verbally or an actual write up. I have reported several times of unfair treatment, however it went on and on. This assistant has been reporting for everything all the way down to poor care of the patients. I would try to explain my actions but they were noted as excuses when just several months ago I was given an award for going the extra mile to give excellant care. Today I was let go and I feel there was more to it then me just giving poor care cause I didn’t. Should I apply for unemployment.
