I still have 6 months of EDD benefits left but for some reason funds suddenly ran out and I was sent the form which only required a weeks worth of benefits. What should I do?

i have been on unemployment for a while but in your situation, if you are still on the regular ui unemployment then you are ok. Most people like myself we have exhausted all of the regular benefits that were available. so once that happiens we roll over to state benefits that allow extentions based on the unemployment rate that as to be at least 8% high in order to contuie too receive state benefits along with actively searching for work. All guidelines under state EB you have to produce every two weeks a work job search log that twc can call and verify that you are looking for work. According to the letter i receive that even thou i have funds left in my account which are state benefits i will contuie to call in to file a claim in the event the state grants another extension.

my benefits 6 months ran out and wasnt notified about any type of extention.i called in and ws told the leg.are on vacation but concerns r hope to extend the benefits in my state. i worked 10 1/2 years at a job and this was the first time in my life i filed for unemployment. I heard others never recived a letter but is granted an extention. this makes me very upset because i was a hard working citizen and the person whoem i spoke to never showed up to work half the time. i find this discreminating.. i looked for jobs every week and that person hasn’t set foot in job center once and she remains getting unemployment..I want a job and hopes someday we americans can keep our jobs in this country not take it elsewhere.and KEEP OUR MONEY in OUR COUNTRY..
