I was in the same situation – when i called they said I have to wait until I was officially laid off. Then there was a week waiting period.

Should be based on the state you live in…but I’m pretty sure you have to wait until you are not working anymore.

Ive been working for the same AC company for about 1yr and a couple months full time but for a month or two only about 10hrs a wk. They dont want to let me go or fire me because it will pick back up just a matter of when. What do i do quit, ask my boss to lay me off or what cuz i need the income?

I was laid off and hired in the sameday, lucky for my misfortune. I won’t start new job until two weeks later , Can I collect unemployeement for the two weeks. Also my employeer will not give me a letter stating why I was laid off.
