Ive been working for my father for 12 years at his italian resteraunt since i was 11, ive been the head cook there for years, and manager, working 70 hours a week. and he cut my hours bc of the economy and then physially pushed me onto the grill because “i was in his way” so i quit. do i deserve unemployment?

my work suspended me and then took me off suspension and i was supposed to wprk and havent got to. they dont know when ill work again can i get unemployment?

If I was scheduled off work by checking the schedule to verify before leaving my last day of scheduled hours, and my boss calls me on my scheduled day off stating I was to be at work..by not knowing this due to the schedule I was marked off as no call no show, can I get unemployement?

It is hard to be unemployed. I gave up and now do not even try to have unemployment. My husband draws a little on his veteran’s disability and S.S. money. I feel blessed we have any money at all to live on. For a while I asked for food from our church but then one of our friends need food more then we did and you know what we found a way to help her. Then another friend needed someone to help clean his house so we started doing that instead of worrying about if I was going to get unemployment. Which I didn’t. But who cares, we are so busy now helping others worse off they we are. Will I find another job, yea sooner or later…it will turn around…everyone just hang inthere…me

I am going to college 3 days a week and working full time 5 days a week. I ahve a 3 year old that I hardly get to see. My grades are dropping because I am so exausted I can’t stay awake in class and I wake up with migrains when I don’t get enough sleep. Should I get unemployment if I quit my job and go to school full time.

I thought the purpose of unemployment insurance, is to give you some finacial asistance during a time of need, due to not having a job, but instead of finding help, you find decisions and judgements that are not based purely on fact. I am a fifty year old unemployed truck driver who has taken pride in what I do for the past 26 years as a commercial driver. I have shown complete and total respect in following the rules,regulations and guidelines that are set by the Department of Transportation. This would be my first time applying for unemployment, the circumstance that led to my termination was not intentional, I valued my job and I believe in working. I thought this system was put in place to help not ad to financial hardship !!!!

im working a job that im getting no more that unemplyment way less then i made at previous job. plus im driving 62.8 miles a day paying out for gas. can i leave this job an still get my unemployment while i search for closer work or better wages?

I quit my job because the employer refused to pay overtime. Not only did she not pay time and half for over 40 hours, she did not pay at all. She said she would provide a gift card to Wal-Mart on a monthly basis for any overtime hours at my base rate of pay. Should I be eligible for unemployment benefits under these conditions?

I have worked at a job for almost 6 years. I have went to management about some concerns I have had with others and were never addressed. I have been written up first then that was changed to a verbal then written up within a 2 month time. I can not perform my duties at work at times because I am so stressed with the unfairness of the management. I have been to the dr’s to be put on meds for depression and nerve medicine because of my job. Dr put me off for awhile. If I quit will I be able to collect unemployment?

Let me add to the previous question…it is a very hostile work enviroment,they call people by color identify them by color. The HR and management talk about ppl not of their nation and it is not fair. The Hr department lies and tells other peoples business that should not be told. It is very hostile.

I am currently employed but there is a possiblity that the business will be taken over by another owner. Do I have to stay with the new owner if h my wages are cut and hours are increased? Can I apply and qualify for unemployment benefits?
