It is disgraceful that people who are unemployed and have no source of income cannot speak with a representative. I applied for unemployment at the end of March 2010 and have been going back and forward between MD and DC as to who is responsible for paying me. I requested a hearing by telephone with Maryland only to wait on the line for 30 minutes because I was not contacted to be told the line was disfunctional. I called the conference line number and was told of the problem. The conference call was held and was interrupted by another person who had a conference call. My call was ended so that the second caller could have a conference. Nothing was resolved for me and I was told that I would have another call in 3 weeks. I have no other choice but to notify my senator and congressman of the lack of organization of the MD Unemployment Office. It is now June and I am still with funds.

I filled for unemployment at the end of march 2010 and got a letter in the mail that said that I would receive my benefits in 18-22 days. Well now its June 8th and I still have heard nothing. Its not good for people that have no jobs because they can not pay their bills or anything. So what do you do?

i filed in may 2010 its now july and i have 5 kids and one on the way i already lost our apt and are using our last saved dollar that we saved to buy a house i have a big family still trying to find work with no luck my old employer is giving me bad refs i was with the company for 11 years i have a son with a kidney disease and we are having trouble buying his meds we are also moving from motel to motel cuz they dont want 5 kids its driving me crazey i applied did a hearing and my employer got caught in 2 lies in the hearing still havent herd anything please help.

I filed for my unemployment was denied, then filed for an appeal, my employer didnt show up for the hearing. I just want to know if i was approved for my unemployment. i had my hearing date on the 8th of july.

i was denied unemployment benefits and then filed a late appeal and was denied. i appealed again and was denied cuz i didn’t bring with me medical records. fuck virginia vec. they are a racist bunch of cock suckers. i have had daydreams of walking into the vec with my guns and killing everyone. they cost me over 30 thousand dollars because of their racism. Now I may have to declare bankruptcy.
