Where I live (PA) I applied for UC in july… then around the middle of sept i received a letter saying i was approved aug 2 to start filing so i got online and it let me file all the way up till current i just had to keep reloading the page 2 weeks at a time. it is now nov 1 and still havent received a dime. i have damn near lost all respect for the govt for crap like this but nothing you can do but wait and search. i asked them what happens if i find a job in the mean time and they said if it needs paid eventually it will catch up even if i become employed again. so i just keep hunting. bills and interest rates keep going up but just keep looking eventually youll either lose it all or pay it all back with bills anyway.

well i applied for unemployment, got a letter stating what i made and how much i’ll get weekly, when i called they said i was still not approved, then they called the employer and they called me to get my version…they are now deciding…..thats why employers can do what ever they want, cause they say even whats not true just for them not to pay unemployment…i got sick, took meds that will knock me out, and got fired. the owner said i missed too much work and not doing my job right….it really depends on the unemployment who they going to believe

I called to see if i was approved due to statement i recieved by mail showing what my weekly amount would be however nothing was mentioned whether or not i was approved and the rep i spoke to asked me to answer a series of questions then told me to file my weekly claim this upcoming sunday. Does this mean i was approved, he never really answered my question?

I was fired on 4/9/2010. I filed for unemployment online immediately it will be 3 weeks tomorrow and besides getting the letter letting me know what I’ll receive weekly I haven’t heard anything. I’ve been applying for jobs weekly, I have my resume posted on their site and I’ve been filing my weekly claim. My bills are backing up but luckily my husbands pay check is paying the majority. If I don’t get my check soon I’m worried I won’t be able to get my bills paid. Not sure what to do.

I lost my job in February, still waiting for unemployment, I have an appointment Thursday
to have a “real person” look at my case, I would suggest anyone who is still waiting go
to the closest unemployment office it’s called a full service office, someone can look at
your case right away and tell you what is going on, if you haven;t received a benefit
of eligilbilty letter then your just in limbo. The benefit letter will tell you if your approved
or it will tell you you have to appeal. That letter takes up to a month to get.
If your waiting longer than that you better go to the local office, you cannot
resolve your issue over the phone.

Well checked my online page and where it says issues delaying payment its blank when before it said work performance. My previous claims were refiled and denied and my weekly claim I just filed sunday was denied but my online page doesn’t say I was denied. We are going up to the office thursday to see if I don’t get a letter. I guess we’ll have to make an appeal. Is there a way I can get a copy of what my ex employer is accusing me of so I can defend myself at the appeal?
I worked for the woman 2 years, didn’t file un employment when we were off for the winter, I bent over backwards to make myself available when she needed me. I haven’t had a single write up since July of 2009 and that was my only verbal or written warning for anything. I had recently switched from opening shift to close and I made a mistake on my 2nd night closing, while I was still training and she fired me 4 days later. She also accused me of starting a rumor because I had heard from a friend the store was closing permanently after the season was over and I asked my manager because I was scared of being unemployed. I did not say a word to other employees just my manager. Do I have a case at all against her?

i was working in pa was told they had no work for me. filed my unemployment 3-23-10 its now may still no check from them , was told that my previous employer advised unemployment that i QUIT! i cant even believe they allow these companies to lie like this for the sake of tying up your money . if i dont get this approved soon i will be so buried not even funny… and yet when you call pa unemployment service center they could care less about your problem.. that is after you wait 5 hours for a return call.
