They just voted on unenployment for illinois, we are going to be receiving it up until december, they will pay us from the last time we got paid. I recieved a letter dated for the day I was supposed to get paid stating I will not recieve benefits until; the government votes. It honestly really put me in a devistation.

Have filed Chap 7, may loose the house, cars and who knows what else, but HORRAY!, the GD congress got off their ass and voted. I am glad that they can do their job. Now they can go on another undeserved vactaion. I used to love this country, but now I hate what it stands for. GREED

i called my claim in on sunday and havent received a check. i changed my address a week ago at the unemployment office. all they keep telling me its in the mail. called all the local poastal services in my area they dont have it. got a letter to verify my new address but no check. any answers would help PLEASE

I called in my claim for the first time July 19th. I understand they withhold the first week. I chose to have the money deposited directly but still have not received anything. I hope it comes in by the end of this week at least.

I am about at my wit ends here I have not received any unemployment checks for 8 weeks. God help us all ! The bills has piled up tremendously Lord I don’t want to be a complainer I want to allow you to do your job for us but we need you lord immediately. Here in our area the social organizations are not of any help to the unemployed recipients that are waiting for an extension they have treated us as if we have the plague! I have been to every social organization here in the Quad Cities and NO! Help I don’t qualify for any assistance other than food voucher, clothing but No! help with ultilities I am schedule to be shut off Aug.3 their reason for disqualifying me is they say that I have a income and in order for them to assist me I have to prove that I would have a on-going income ha,ha. in order to receive assistance from them. What the h@!! ? Everybody in the world knows that congress were fighting like little girls and people are starving,losing their homes,cars etc. You name it due to them not wanting to pass the bill for the unemployed for an extension. THANK YOU GOD! and to the ones who held his hand and where truly commited in to helping thy neighbor and just did not vote the bill in to gain brownie points in the upcoming elections I hope that their heart was just as pure as his but, Where is the people money? NO !! Money has been distribute now what? Have anyone from this area received their retro pay and regular benefits? Or even a letter from the unemployment office anything?

I too am wondering where is the money, i’ve been waiting as patiently as i can, no money to do anything with, landlord calling, turn-off notices, no one offering any help . Social Services giving the run arounds for less than 200.00 dollars, Please people, i would love to be the one assisting with the money if you need help call, a job is a job right now, Please put the money on the card already!!

JUST WANTING TO KNOW WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON? BECAUSE LIKE SOMEONE SAID BEFORE ITS HARD TIMES RIGHT NOW AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO COME UP WITH SOME ANSWERS. yeah, here I sit in Illinois, waiting too, the IDES won’t answer the phone, web site shows nothing, the recording at the IDES office says YOU HAVE EXHAUSTED YOUR BENEFITS, this really sucks. Is there a place to look at your states plans to give out these dollars to people like me and you that have not had a check in 2 plus months???

Hi, I too am here in chicago area and phone calls at tele serve says you have exhausted all claims but when I re instated tuesday it worked and said next call date would be the 11 of august. Any news if I will be getting money in my card this friday?

Crazy, I was hoping for unemployment money to get a Big Mac, how 7 months ago I would not have thought twice about getting one. Now, how I wish I had the money to have one….Isn’t that sad? I went from making 56k to three forty a week, and now that even that’s gone, it’s so debilitating!! I hear ya Chicago, there’s little news for us…more desperation than amswers!
I wish the Senate members had to have our worries for a day or so, maybe they would have not sat on their asses for 6 weeks!!

Ive lost our house, Car note, bankrupt, and has unemployment end in april. NOw at least I hope they will start it again. I went from making 36.50 an hour and now lucky to get some jobs at 12 an hour. A family of six 12 bucks an hour dont even come close! I hope its coming for us soon, The money in the unemployment cards that is. May God help us

My heart bleeds for you, I am in a family of three, me, hubby and our 8 year old Autstic guy. All Kids insurance saved our ASSES from all his costly meds….I lost my job 11/29, hubby, three days later. Yep, we are here together and it’s so scary. We have applied for loan modification so we DONT lose the house, and were one of the very few that had little debt, but still, as scared as the rest. Its Thursday July 28th @ 11:30 am still no money. I checked everywhere i can, online on the phone, on the back of the card number, still no money, But i won;t break, i wont give up the faith. God said in his word that he would never leave or forsake us, and i know for a fact that that is true so everyone hold on just a little while longer. He promises to not put more on us than we can bear. Those who have lost material things, PRAISE GOD!!! for your health. Remember the story of JOB, he lost everything, even his family and God restored it all back to hime 10 fold. I know you are probably saying who wants to experience that , no one of course but we are living in the last days, evil is more prevelant than ever . Unfortunately it dwells in high places. But God promises to take care of those that LOVE Him. and for Jigaboo, this has nothing to do with Obama, he is getting resistance on every side you see some people still don’t believe a black man should be President, but you better thank God he is in there or we may not have ever gotten this bill signed.

My advice to everyone is Pray Pray Pray!!! even after you get your money pray for each other everyday that we who are able to work find work and keep it, and those who can;t that God will give an income,

I keep hearing everything has passed…that the EDD worked all weekend…but still not received any forms from EDD. This is killing me..I guess I should be glad to think all of the Congressman and Senators are getting their big fat checks for doing nothing.

Have anyone received their unemployment payment yet? As of today Thursday 7/29 I still did not receive anything and am beginning to worry. i certify every two weeks like i am supposed to but still nothing. the website dies not help and all i get is voicemails and recorded messages from IDES. is there any live people there? god bless

To Bill-Texas,
Maybe you need to loose your job so that you will be more sympathtic to the people who have been TRYING to find any job they can just so that we can pay our bills and feed our kids. PRIDE, it is not about pride.For most of us it is not about “leeching,” WE lost our jobs and NEED HELP..
